Visting Rockwood Church of God
Visiting a church for the first time can be a little uncomfortable and intimidating.
We understand that!
We’d like to answer some of your questions before visiting us.
-
First things first, we’re a friendly bunch! We like to engage with new people to let you know we’re glad you found us!
Upon entering our church, a greeter on the hospitality team will welcome you in and hand you a “bulletin” (program) that will give you a little more information about our church and what’s happening on the church calendar.
The hospitality team can help answer any questions you might have or help you find your way around the building. If it’s your first visit with us, they also have a gift for you as a thank-you for joining us!

Rockwood Church of God is a non-denominational, multigenerational community church with one worship service that begins at 10:45 am.
Our worship style is a nice blend of traditional hymns and more modern contemporary worship music, which is played by a talented group of mostly volunteer musicians. The worship set usually lasts about 20 minutes.
After worship, a teaching will be shared and, in most cases, our services conclude by 12pm.
Our Scripture passages are read from multiple translations, so we encourage you to bring whatever Bible translation you’re most comfortable with. If needed, New International Version Bibles are available in every pew.

We offer Children’s Church to all children ages 4-11 from 10:45 am until the end of service.
There is also a staffed nursery available to children ages 3 and under.
Our classrooms and nursery are located downstairs and parents will need to complete a quick, one-time registration on arrival for each child.
All Children’s Ministry workers have a completed background check on file.

The overall vibe at Rockwood is very casual, so there’s no formal dress code.
You’ll see us wearing everything from shorts and flip-flops to dresses and ties.
We encourage you to wear whatever helps you praise God more comfortably.
